Why Billie Eilish Unfollowed Everyone? Know The Reason

Billie Eilish recently unfollowed everyone on Instagram with no explanation. Her move could be related to the recent sexual assault allegations against celebrities including Justin Bieber, Ansel Elgort, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, and many others.

Billie Eilish’s fan was a little taken aback after noticing that Billie Eilish had wiped her “following” tab clean of everyone she was previously following. Earlier, Billie posted on Instagram which now deleted that reads, “If I am following your abuser, DM me and I will unfollow them. I support you.”

Not only on Instagram, she even unfollowed Ansel, Justin, Chris Brown, and XXXTENTACION on Twitter. Furthermore, this move has caused many fans to freak out upon hearing the news that Billie wiped so many artists she looked up to and admired clean from her social media.

In the Black Lives Matter movement, she was very vocal l about her participation and constantly encouraging fans to speak out and do their part in spreading awareness about racial injustice. Along with many celebs such as Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and Meek Mill she also participated in signing an open letter in support of police reform.

Billie using her platform to bring awareness to current political and social issues, regarding the sweep of people she follows. After her decision many fans expressed their views, one user wrote: “Billie Eilish posting ‘dm me if I follow your abuser’ and unfollowing everyone instead of just unfollowing Chris Brown and Justin Bieber doesn’t sit right with me.”

Another user named Jason wrote “What Billie Eilish did was smart. She was following abusers but instead unfollowed everyone. She knew how those stans would react if she did just those specific names. Smart move to avoid nonsense Twitter wars.”

On May 30th, Billie shared an Instagram post and captioned “#justiceforgeorgefloyd #blacklivesmatter.”


Curently, her Instagram account is filled with her support towards Black lives matter.


Furthermore, on May 30th she posted an image on Instagram and captioned “I WANT THINGS TO BE DIFFERENT.”
